"We see tremendous momentum right now" - Nike CEO Shares Major Update on Caitlin Clark's Signature Shoe

Basketball fans have patiently waited for Caitlin Clark's signature shoe since she signed an eight-year, $28 million deal with Nike before her debut WNBA season with the Indiana Fever.

While there's still no official drop date for Clark's highly-anticipated signature shoe, Nike CEO Elliott Hill recently provided an important update on the company's progress.

In late January, Clark made the trip to Nike headquarters to work on her signature shoe with the sports-apparel giant.

"She was in yesterday working on her signature shoe that we'll launch," Hill said in an interview with Fortune Magazine. "We're working on her logo, her design of her logo."

"When we were running just 'Basketball,' we never got to the women's opportunity," Elliott continued when asked about Clark's historic endorsement deal with the company. "But by having this small team that is focused on 'Women's Basketball,' it unlocked, we believe, opportunities for the game of basketball, but also our product.

"It becomes an opportunity to build the overall marketplace, by inviting more and more girls into the world of sport. It is an area we'll continue to invest in and we see tremendous momentum right now."

Clark and the Fever will tipoff their 2025 regular season with a highly-anticipated matchup against Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky on May 17.
